UPDATE: Non-life threatening injuries Hwy. 402 transport crash

A rear-end crash involving two tractor trailers closed the westbound lanes of Highway 402 in Sarnia early Tuesday afternoon.

Lambton OPP, Sarnia Fire, and Lambton EMS responded to the crash, east of the Christina Street exit, at around 12:50 p.m.

Police closed the highway to westbound traffic between Christina Street and Modeland Road for the clean-up and investigation.

OPP said both drivers were taken to hospital. One was treated for minor injuries and released and the other was transported to London with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The highway reopened at around 11:30 p.m.
