UPDATE: Two sent to hospital following Hwy. 40 crash

Lambton OPP continue to investigate an early morning two vehicle crash on Highway 40 that sent both drivers to hospital.

One driver was taken to London with serious injuries.

The highway was closed between Confederation Line and Plank Road as part of the investigation, but reopened at around 12:30 p.m.

Before 7 a.m., OPP responded to Petrolia Line between Kimball Road and Waubuno Road in Brigden -- the area was closed until around 8:30 a.m.

Conditions were slick on area roadways Thursday morning after flurries fell overnight, combined with below freezing temperatures.

Police were reminding motorists to slow on their commute after multiple vehicles ended up in the ditch.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
