Windsor man dies after Highway 40 collision

A Windsor man has died as a result of his injuries after a collision on Highway 40 in Lambton County.

Just before 6 a.m. on Thursday, Lambton County OPP and Emergency Crews responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 40, south of Confederation Line. Both drivers involved were taken to hospital. One driver suffered minor injuries, while the other driver suffered life-threatening injuries.

Officials said that 31 year-old Luis Garcia Ventura of Windsor has since died as a result of his injuries.

The West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team and the Lambton County OPP are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is being asked to contact Lambton County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
