COVID cases up 22, recoveries up 35 in SL

Active COVID-19 cases dropped by 13 in Sarnia-Lambton Saturday.

Lambton Public Health reported 22 new infections and 35 resolved cases, moving the active cases to 137.

There have been a total of 3,023 confirmed cases, 2,834 resolved and 52 deaths during the pandemic.

The number of active outbreaks is at seven, down one from Friday.

Bluewater Health is reporting 10 COVID-positive patients in hospital.

On Friday, the hospital announced that it is ramping down and postponing some surgical cases beginning Monday, April 12.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
