Cyclist injury not believed to be result of hit-and-run

Sarnia police say a cyclist found unconscious early Monday morning in the area of Brock Street and Davis Street was not the result of a hit-and-run.

Police believe the 50-year-old man suffered a head injury at around 5 a.m. when he lost control of his bicycle due to a medical issue.

He was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police thank the public for its help in the investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
