Sarnia driver charged after vehicle clocked at 70 km/h over limit

Lambton OPP recently stopped a vehicle travelling 70 kilometres an hour above the posted speed limit.

A vehicle was clocked in the early afternoon on April 4 at 160 kilometres an hour in a 90 kilometre-an-hour zone on Plank Road in St. Clair Township.

A 26-year-old Sarnia man was charged with racing a motor vehicle, excessive speed and operating a vehicle without insurance.

The driver's licence was suspended and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
