Sarnia driver with smashed windshield charged with impaired

A Sarnia woman accused of driving impaired with a smashed windshield in Stratford is facing drug charges.

Stratford police said witnesses saw a black Acura driving erratically at around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Police stopped the vehicle near Downie Street and Ontario Street and later arrested the driver for drug impaired operation and possession of a Schedule 1 substance.

The 35-year-old Sarnia woman underwent a drug recognition evaluation at police headquarters.

She was released from custody and is to appear in court May 31, 2021.
