London man charged with impaired after police cruiser nearly hit

A police cruiser was nearly hit by an alleged impaired driver in Plympton-Wyoming over the weekend.

Lambton OPP received multiple calls about an erratic vehicle exiting eastbound Highway 402 onto Oil Heritage Road at around 7 a.m. Saturday.

Police allege the vehicle, travelling southbound toward Wyoming, nearly hit a responding cruiser while officers were trying to stop it.

A 40-year-old London man was arrested, taken to police headquarters for a drug recognition evaluation, and then charged with impaired driving and dangerous operation of a vehicle.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
