Lambton OPP 'Blitz' nabs break-in suspects in Dawn-Euphemia

Lambton OPP's general service dog Blitz was able to sniff out break-and-enter suspects Thursday morning.

Police were called about a suspicious vehicle at a storage facility in Dawn-Euphemia Township at 3:30 a.m.

Officers surrounded the property until the Canine Unit arrived.

During a search of the area, Blitz located one suspect who was taken into custody, and shortly after a second individual approached police on their own.

A 64-year-old man from Charing Cross and a 49-year-old woman from Bothwell were being held pending bail hearings on charges including break and enter.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
