A call about a suspicious person at Kettle Point First Nation has resulted in drug-related charges.
Members of the Kettle Point First Nation Detachment of the Anishinabek Police Service suspected illicit drugs were being sold after a suspicious person was reportedly seen running back and forth between a vehicle and a residence.
Police stopped at the residence and confronted a man.
The male suspect was allegedly found with an undisclosed amount of crystal methamphetamine and currency.
Police said a 27-year-old Thedford man was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule 1 substance – methamphetamine and possession of a schedule 1 substance – other drug.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on June 30.
