Passenger arrested after fleeing police

Lambton OPP arrested a passenger that fled a traffic stop in Point Edward Friday night.

Police stopped a vehicle on Louisa Street around 8:15 p.m.

While addressing infractions with the driver, officers watched a passenger flee and called in backup to locate the individual.

A 22-year-old Chatham man was taken into custody without incident and charged with failure to comply a release order and obstructing a peace officer.

He was released following a bail hearing Saturday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
