Sarnia man drives across golf course, charged with impaired

A Sarnia man accused of driving impaired across a Petrolia golf course has been charged.

Lambton OPP were notified about an erratic driver travelling on a closed road and then onto a golf course at around 7:20 p.m. Thursday.

Officers located the suspect vehicle in the area and spoke with the driver, at which time a roadside screening device was administered. The driver provided two breath samples over the legal limit and was placed under arrest.

The 51-year-old faces two impaired driving charges and one charge of driving on a closed highway.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
