Suspects sought after police seize $155K in drugs from BMW

Sarnia police are searching for two Toronto-area men after locating over $155,000 in drugs in a seized BMW.

On Tuesday, police began investigating the suspects for unrelated offences in the city.  Officers later concluded that the suspect's vehicle, a blue BMW, may have been stolen, leading to it being seized and towed away from the scene.

The service's VICE unit began a drug investigation and conducted a search warrant on the BMW where they allegedly located over 25 ounces of cocaine, crystal meth and fentanyl.  The total value of the drugs is approximately $155,490.

Police have issued warrants for Felix Funes-Vasquez, 32, and Jason Garcia, 43.

Both Funes-Vasquez and Garcia face three counts of trafficking.  Funes-Vasquez also faces an additional charge for operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited under the Criminal Code.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of either men is asked to contact the Sarnia Police Service at 519-344-8861, extension 0, or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
