The area stretched from Lakeshore Road to Modeland Road, affecting the Wiltshire, Rapids Parkway, and Twin Lakes neighbourhoods.
The utility said the cause is faulted cables resulting in a pole fire, in the area behind Home Depot.
Power was fully restored at around 1:30 p.m.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
