Trafficking charges laid in fentanyl seizure

Two people have been charged with drug trafficking after Sarnia Police Vice Unit officers seized 11 grams of fentanyl from a residence in 1000 block of Kenwood Avenue.

On August 4, at around 7:50 p.m., officers were conducting surveillance, and spotted a suspect driving a vehicle. They said he was arrested without incident.

At around 8:20 p.m., police searched the home and arrested a second individual.

The total street value of the drugs seized was around $2,200.

Jordan Anthony Dietrich, 33, of Sarnia, faces one count of possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited under the Criminal Code of Canada.

Terilynn Paige Wasson, 30, of Sarnia, faces one count of possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
