Sting deal Nolet to Rangers

The Sarnia Sting have traded overage defenceman Justin Nolet to the Kitchener Rangers for a conditional 15th round pick in 2022.

The 20-year-old was drafted by the Sting in 2017 and spent the 2019-20 season with the team. He put up six goals and 12 assists in 51 games played.

Sting General Manager Dylan Seca wished Nolet the best in Kitchener.

"With the number of overage players on our roster we wanted to help find Justin a place to play this year," said Seca. "He is a great teammate, and always represented our program with class. We thank him for his contributions."

The 2021-22 Ontario Hockey League season will begin October 7, with players arriving in Sarnia for training camp September 4.
