Sarnia hosting provincial baseball championship

The Sarnia Baseball Club is hosting the 18U Premier Baseball League of Ontario Championship Tournament this weekend.

Games are being played Friday to Sunday at Errol Russell and Blackwell parks.

Sarnia opens the tournament at Errol Russell on Friday at 8 p.m. against Ottawa.

Other clubs making the trip include London, Tecumseh, Sudbury, Ajax, and the Oshawa U17 and U18 squads.

The final will be played on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Errol Russell Park.

Fans are welcome to attend the games but COVID-19 protocols must be followed.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
