'Kayak and Canoe Days' launch in Petrolia

Residents are invited to explore Bear Creek and Little Lake in Petrolia.

The town is hosting Kayak and Canoe Days over the next week.

Paddle sport enthusiasts can launch a canoe or kayak at Bridgeview Park North on Saturday, August 14 until Sunday, August 22.

As part of the event, the town is holding an online photo contest where participants can share photos from their trips. Send your pictures to twagner@petrolia.ca by 4 p.m. August 22 for your chance to win $50 in Petrolia Bucks.

Participants are reminded to wear personal floatation devices and be cautious while on the water.
