Active COVID cases move into double digits

Sarnia-Lambton's active COVID cases are in double digits for the first time in over a month.

Lambton Public Health reported three new cases and one resolved case Sunday morning, bringing active infections to 11.

Since July 12, the community's active cases have been below 10.  Back in March, they topped out at 243.

The COVID related death-toll has been at 68 since late last month.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
