Six new COVID-19 cases reported in Sarnia-Lambton

The active COVID-19 case count in Sarnia-Lambton has gone up to 23.

Lambton Public Health reported six new cases and two recoveries on Saturday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been a total of 3,670 confirmed cases in the region and 3,579 resolved cases.

The death toll remains unchanged at 68 and there are no active outbreaks in the community.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
