Priscilla Gagné wins silver at Paralympics

A judo athlete from Sarnia has won her first medal at the Paralympic Games.

Priscilla Gagné won silver in the women's 52 kilogram judo competition on Friday.

Gagné is the first Canadian woman to win a medal in para judo, read a release from Team Canada. She also improved upon her own record after coming in fifth place in the sport during the 2016 Games.

Gagné carried the flag during the opening ceremonies on Tuesday.

Canada has earned a total of six medals at the Tokyo Paralympic Games, which run until September 5.
