Active COVID-19 cases increase upwards of 20

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Sarnia-Lambton has jumped from 19 to 26 in the past 24 hours.

Lambton Public Health reported eight new cases and one recovery on Saturday.

There have been a total of 3,718 confirmed cases in the region since the start of the pandemic. The health unit also reported a total of 3,623 resolved cases.

The local death toll remains unchanged at 69.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
