15 new COVID-19 cases reported in Sarnia-Lambton

The active COVID-19 case count in Sarnia-Lambton has increased to 68.

Lambton Public Health reported 15 new COVID-19 infections on Saturday along with 10 recoveries.

There have been 3,824 confirmed cases in the region since the beginning of the pandemic. There have also been a total of 3,686 resolved cases.

The health unit also reported a third active COVID-19 outbreak on Saturday, however, details about the location were not immediately available.

Outbreaks were previously reported at Gregory A. Hogan Catholic School and at Bkejwanong Children’s Centre at Walpole Island First Nation.

The local death toll remains at 70.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
