Virtual Kidney Walk raises $55K

This year's Sarnia-Lambton Kidney Walk was the most successful yet.

The virtual event held over the weekend raised $55,000, the third highest in Ontario.

Local Chapter Senior Development Manager Elaine Hayter said nine teams and 41 walkers registered for the event.

She said funds raised will stay within the community, and support the organization's financial assistance and peer support programs.

Donations can still be made online until the end of the year.
