Theft suspect creates false sense of security

City police are investigating a rash of thefts and are searching for a suspect, possibly posing as a security guard.

Sarnia police have taken a number of reports of catalytic converters being removed from parked vehicles.

The incidents happened over the last week at different apartment building parking lots, and police have released  surveillance photos of a possible suspect.

He can be seen wearing a dark coloured jacket with the word security on the back, and red and white lettering on the left side of the chest, and may have entered with a dark coloured SUV.

Police said the parking lot where the video was taken does not have a security guard.
