Impaired driving charges laid against Sarnia man

A Sarnia man who allegedly left the scene of a collision in St. Clair Township is also facing impaired driving charges.

Lambton OPP said a two-vehicle collision was reported on Petrolia Line at 8 p.m. on September 26.

Police said one of the vehicles left the scene but was later found. The driver was suspected of being impaired and taken to an OPP detachment where he provided two breath samples above the legal limit.

The 48-year-old driver was charged with failing to remain at the scene of a collision, operation while impaired, operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia on October 25.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
