OPP seize stolen vehicle in Dawn-Euphemia

A 30-year-old Dawn-Euphemia man is facing charges after Lambton OPP stopped a suspicious vehicle late last month.

Police were called to the 800 block of Johnston Road at around 7:20 p.m. September 29.

Officers were allegedly able to confirm the vehicle was stolen, and the suspect was taken into custody.

Bradley Demaiter is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, mischief under $5,000, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, resisting a peace officer, and failure to comply with probation and release orders.

He was being held in custody following a bail hearing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
