Active COVID infections, outbreaks down in SL

Sarnia-Lambton's health unit reported a drop in both active COVID cases and outbreaks Sunday morning.

Lambton Public Health added three new cases and 20 more recoveries to its figures, dropping active infections from 103 down to 86.

Active outbreaks are now at four, down one from Saturday.

There have been a total of 4,143 confirmed cases during the pandemic, including 3,987 resolved cases and 70 COVID-related deaths.

On Friday, Bluewater Health was reporting seven COVID-positive patients in hospital.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
