Candlelight vigil for Sarnia tennis pro

An instructor with the Sarnia Tennis Club fatally shot by police is being remembered with a candlelight vigil Tuesday evening.

The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) has launched an investigation after a man was fatally shot by London police on October 28 on Richmond Street.

The SIU told Sarnia News Today the deceased man is Justin Bourassa, 29, of Sarnia.

The vigil will be held at 7 p.m. at the Sarnia Tennis Club Park on Christina Street, and attendees are asked to bring a candle.

The SIU is a civilian agency that investigates incidents involving police where there has been a death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
