Police teamwork leads to break and enter arrest

Lambton OPP and Sarnia police worked together to arrest a break and enter suspect last Thursday.

OPP said they were first contacted regarding an attempted break and enter at a residence on Simpson Street at 11 a.m. October 28.

Another complaint came in as officers arrived at the initial address where items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Officers relayed information on the suspect to Sarnia police so they could be on the lookout.

City police took an individual into custody who matched the description at 11:40 a.m.

A 37-year-old Sarnia man was charged with theft under $5,000.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
