Pedestrian critically injured in collision

One person was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in the city's north end Tuesday evening.

Sarnia police, Sarnia Fire and Rescue and Lambton EMS were called at about 7:30 p.m. to a collision on Rosedale Avenue.

Police said a 28-year-man was struck by a vehicle between Pineview Avenue and Kenwood Avenue, and is in critical condition in hospital.

The Sarnia Police Service Traffic Unit was on scene until about 2 a.m. Wednesday and the investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
