Truck leak reported at Suncor

Suncor was investigating a leak of material from a solvent truck at the Sarnia refinery Thursday.

In a notice from Community Awareness Emergency Response at 10:19 a.m., the company said the leak happened while the truck was travelling within the site.

Suncor said members of the community may notice an odour in the area of Sun Avenue.

The company said the material was fully contained on site. Air monitoring conducted in the vicinity was within safe limits and odours were not detected beyond the immediate area of the leak.

Clean-up was expected to be complete by the end of the day.
