Sting end losing skid with win in Saginaw

The Sarnia Sting edged the Saginaw Spirit 3-2 in the back end of a home-and-home Saturday night.

Max Namestnikov scored his first OHL goal and the game-winner midway through the second period to help end Sarnia's seven game losing streak.

Fellow Sting skaters Nolan Dann, Nolan Burke and Ryan Mast each had two-point nights, and Sting goaltender Ben Gaudreau made 36 saves in the win.

The victory improves Sarnia's record to 2-5-2 on the season.  It's the club's first win since opening night in Windsor.

The Sting return home to host Erie Sunday at 2 p.m.
