Fewer active COVID-19 cases reported in Sarnia-Lambton

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Sarnia-Lambton has dropped to 44.

Lambton Public Health reported four new infections on Saturday along with seven resolved cases.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been a total of 4,268 confirmed cases in the region and 4,151 resolved cases.

The local death toll remains at 73 after the deaths of two local residents were reported on Friday.

The number of active outbreaks in the region remains unchanged at four.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
