Christmas tree raised at city hall

A Christmas tree is now in place at Sarnia City Hall.

The 45 foot blue spruce was donated by Ian Clarke and the New Horizons Community Church.

Brandon Contracting donated the flatbed truck used to transport the tree to city hall, which was then placed by Atkco Cranes free of charge.

The city's forestry team helped secure the tree with cables in the fountain area.

For many years residents have submitted their trees as prospective candidates to save the cost of removing the tree themselves.
