Active COVID cases up four in SL

Sarnia-Lambton's active COVID case-count increased by four Friday morning.

Lambton Public Health reported five new cases and one recovery, bringing active infections to 39.

There have been 4,301 confirmed cases during the pandemic, including 4,188 resolved and 74 COVID-related deaths.

There are four active outbreaks, including one at Bluewater Health reported Thursday.  The Sarnia hospital has six COVID-positive patients in its care, up one from Thursday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
