Crash snaps hydro pole, knocks out power

A crash on Waterworks Road, between Lakeshore Road and Michigan Line, snapped a hydro pole and knocked out power to around 350 Bluewater Power customers.

It happened just before 5 p.m. Monday.

The Sarnia Police Service Traffic Branch was on scene and as part of the investigation, the roadway was closed to traffic.

Bluewater Power expected to have service fully restored by 10 p.m. Monday.

Police said there is no update on injuries or charges at this time as the investigation is in its preliminary stages.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
