Judith Morris has been honoured for making lasting and meaningful differences to the college system.
The recently retired Lambton College president was one of four former educators presented a Lifetime Achievement Award from Ontario's Minister of Colleges and Universities, Jill Dunlop, Monday.
“I would like to extend my deepest congratulations to these leaders who have shown commitment and promoted excellence to advance Ontario’s world-class college system,” said Minister Dunlop. “When individuals act as ambassadors in this way, they not only support students, colleges and local communities, but the economic strength of the entire province.”
Rob Kardas, who took over the job at Lambton in July, congratulated Morris.
"It is so very well deserved," he said in a post on Twitter. "Lambton College is very proud!"

Morris was the first female president of Lambton College.
She was hired in 2002 and named the school's 10th president in 2012.
Morris oversaw the construction of Lambton's NOVA Health & Research Centre, the Athletics and Fitness Centre and the Centre of Excellence in Energy & Bio-Industrial Technologies during her tenure.
The former Presidents of Centennial College, Niagara College and Northern College also received the Minister's Lifetime Achievement Award Monday.
