Extending Sarnia's patio program

Sarnia City Council will consider extending the temporary relief measures allowing businesses to set up patios at an upcoming meeting.

The current program allows businesses, like restaurants, to occupy areas normally used for parking and green space, with temporary patios.

These measures are set to expire on December 31, 2021.

Mayor Mike Bradley has considered the program beneficial and directed the council to consult restaurant owners for their input.

Public input on the patio program will be accepted until Monday, December 6.

The meeting that decides whether the relief measures will be extended will be held on Monday, December 13. This meeting is open to the public.
