Police searching for vehicle after telephone pole damaged

Sarnia police are searching for a black Hyundai SUV with serious damage that struck a telephone pole December 3.

At around 7:50 p.m., police received a complaint about a vehicle that was driving erratically and slammed into the pole in the 1500 block of Lakeshore Road, just east of Modeland Road.

The vehicle was last seen heading southbound on Modeland Road. Police said the pole was snapped in half.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
