Lambton Public Health reports 17 new COVID-19 cases

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the region has increased to 71 after Lambton Public Health reported 17 new infections.

The health unit also reported nine resolved cases on Saturday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been a total of 4,485 confirmed cases in the region and 4,336 resolved cases.

Lambton Public Health also reported another active outbreak at an unspecified location. There are now five active outbreaks.

The local death toll remains at 78.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
