The next phase of Sarnia-Lambton's Celebration of Lights

It's almost too late to submit an entry to the Celebration of Lights Home Decorating Contest.

The contest entry closes at 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 12.

More than 65 homes across Sarnia-Lambton have entered so far.

Anyone can vote for participants at the Celebration of Lights website. Voting ends at midnight on Sunday, December 19, with awards being announced the next day.

Winners receive monetary or gift prizes donated by local sponsors.

Centennial Park features the main displays of the event, which lit up early this year.

The lights will remain on at the park until January 30, 2022.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
