Strong winds expected in Sarnia-Lambton

Another windy day is in store for Sarnia-Lambton.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement.

The national weather agency said strong southwesterly winds with gusts of 70 to 90 kilometres an hour are expected to develop Thursday morning, or early afternoon.

The highest winds are likely along the Lake Huron shoreline, with gusts up to 90 kilometres an hour expected.

Winds will slowly ease Thursday night.

Gusty winds can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings and break branches off trees. Power outages are also possible.
