Santa’s Responder’s Toy Drive beats previous record

Over 550 stuffed toys and gift cards were collected during the annual Santa's Responder's Toy Drive, setting a new donation record.

Point Edward Fire Chief Doug MacKenzie was thrilled with the community support for the third annual event.

"The generosity of our community is what makes this toy drive the success that it is," said MacKenzie. "Before we even announced this year's drive, we had folks calling and visiting, eager to drop off their gifts. It was great to see the enthusiasm."

The gifts were delivered to St. Clair Child and Youth Services and to the children's ward at Bluewater Health.
