Services altered at Lambton Public Health over the holidays

Public health offices will be closed over the holidays but work will continue with COVID-19 case and contact tracing.

Lambton Public Health (LPH) recently announced modifications to its reporting schedule.

On regular weekdays, the health unit will provide full reports on its website. However, brief reports will be posted on December 24, December 27-28, December 31, and January 3, 2022. No reports will be provided on statutory holidays, which are on December 25-26, and January 1, 2022.

LPH's main office in Point Edward will be closed on the following days:

- Friday, December 24 - Monday, December 27 - Tuesday, December 28 - Friday, December 31 - Monday, January 3

Water sampling will not be collected during the weeks of December 24 - 28 or December 31 - January 3.

Questions regarding parenting, pregnancy, and breastfeeding can be called in to the Family Health Line when the office is open at 519-383-3817 or 1-800-667-1839 (ext. 3817).

After hours emergency calls about food poisoning, animal bites, or disease outbreaks can be made to 519-383-8331 or 1-800-667-1839.

Public health services will resume on January 4, 2022 at most locations.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
