Sarnia's mayor has shared that he's had another surgery as follow up to cancer operations on his ear.
In a message posted to his Facebook page, Mike Bradley said he underwent a three hour operation at St. Joseph's Hospital in London Tuesday morning.
"Operation was on my cancer ear of choice, the left one," Bradley said. "If you look at it, it looks like the sparring partner for Rocky's ear, it has been beat up so much. The right ear has been jealous never being in on the action. Was operated on too this time to give material for the left ear rebuild and the chest joined in with skin grafts to help both ears heal. What a team."
Bradley said he wouldn't normally disclose so much personal health information, but the surgery is evident with bandages and stitches.
Mayor Bradley said "ear cancer is stubborn" and he's urging others to "never go out without sunscreen" and "wear the dorky hat for longer exposures" as he does now.
Bradley's first skin cancer operation was in 2005. He has had multiple since, on his ear, chest and foot.
