SL reports 249 new COVID cases

Active COVID-19 infections in Sarnia-Lambton have surpassed 1,200.

Lambton Public Health reported 249 new cases Monday, for a total of 6,194 since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The health unit also reported 36 more resolved cases up to 4,860, increasing the active case count by 213 to 1,250.

There are seven institutional, school and workplace outbreaks, unchanged from Sunday.

As of Friday, December 31, there were 16 COVID-positive patients at Bluewater Health.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
