COVID-19 outbreak declared at Bluewater Health

Six patients have tested positive for COVID-19, prompting an outbreak to be declared at Bluewater Health's Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit in Sarnia.

The hospital announced the outbreak Friday afternoon.

However, Bluewater Health said no staff infections related to the outbreak have been identified at this time.

"All designated care partners for those impacted by this outbreak are halted," read a release from the hospital.

Bluewater Health is currently caring for 29 COVID-positive patients.

Earlier this week, Bluewater Health issued a letter to the community, urging residents to get vaccinated and follow public health measures.
