UPDATE: Travel advisory ended for north, east Lambton

Environment Canada has ended a winter weather travel advisory for north and east Lambton county.

The weather agency posted the advisory shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday -- it was lifted at around 11:30 a.m.

An area off of Lake Huron, from Lambton Shores to the Thedford region, was expected to get hit by snowfall amounts of five to 10 centimetres by early afternoon.  Lake effect snow was forecast to gradually ease through the morning.

Motorists were being reminded to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
