Retired Sarnia retail worker wins $100K lotto prize

A soon-to-be Sarnia grandmother is $100,000 richer after winning an Encore prize in the January 12 Lotto 6/49 draw.

The OLG said Sheila Taylor matched the last six of seven numbers in the exact order to win the prize.

The retired retail worker said she was at the store when she discovered her big win.

"I asked the clerk how much I won, and he put his arms out and said 'Big!' It was unbelievable. I called my daughter and she got in her car and met me at the store. She was just as excited as I was!"

Sheila said she plans to share her win with her daughter. "I need to take some time to figure out how to treat myself," she smiled.

"This win is unbelievable," Sheila concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at New Rosedale Mini Mart on Rosedale Avenue in Sarnia.
